Project Introduction
If you have mature native trees like what are in this backyard, you could treat it as a feature rather than something you want to get rid of. Super mature trees are essential elements for fairy tale like environment - that allows imaginations from children and includes natural wonder in built environment. These trees naturally created playful environment for kids and a playground / swing / cubby house just enhances it much more - both ethically beautiful and practically functional. Grey colours for fence and retaining wall perfectly blend brown colours from tree trunks, pine bark mulch and green colours of plants and turf together. Two red architectural plants highlight the step entrance of backyard garden and provide another feature in the garden. Therefore, a very simple landscape design can be also successful by carefully choosing colours and plants as well as identifying existing 'treasure' on site.
